Allovus has a reputation for giving back. From Hoedown for Hope (an event sponsored and put on by Allovus to raise money for Avon’s breast cancer research), to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, to the youth arts, our company extends a helping hand.

On Saturday, March 1st, Allovus is sponsoring the Youth Theatre Northwest’s Red Carpet Gala, a fundraiser to benefit a youth theatre located on Mercer Island. Youth Theatre Northwest (YTN) has been fostering the creativity of young people for 30 years, and serves 2,000 children each year.

In this 30th anniversary year, the event is even more important than in previous years. The property that Youth Theatre Northwest resides on is being reclaimed by the Mercer Island School District to build a new school, and the theatre will be demolished. A new building, in which YTN will be the anchor tenant, Mercer Island Center for the Arts (MICA) is in the planning stages, but will not be ready for 3 to 5 years. The MICA project is being led by respected community leader and Youth Theatre Director, John Gordon Hill.

YTN must raise money not only for its current operational costs, but also for an interim home.

Frank Ockenfels Hi DefComing back to Mercer Island to be the Master of Ceremonies of YTN’s Red Carpet Gala, is theatre alum and hometown hero, Joel McHale, star of NBC’s hit show Community and E!’s The Soup.

The evening will feature appetizers, cocktails, awards, live performances by talented youth, a dessert competition, and a live and silent auction. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mercer Island Community Center located at 8236 SE 24th St. Mercer Island, WA 98040. Tickets are $85, and can be purchased here: https://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/auctionhome.action?auctionId=206993936. (Click on the “Order Tickets” button on the right-hand side.)

Join us in celebrating and supporting 30 years of creativity and the youth arts! Hope to see you there.
