Last year, Allovus hosted Hoedown for Hope, an important event to raise money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. The event was so successful, they decided to do it again this year.

The group of friends who regularly participate, (the Morvants, the Nichols, and the Walkers) came up with a new theme for this year’s event—Hula for Hooters.

On Saturday, April 26th, guests were greeted with Hawaiian leis, music by Reign of Sun and a Hawaiian band, food, and our traditional Pacific Northwest rain. Despite the weather, the event raised just enough money to send Kiersten Morvant, Jon Morvant, and Hayley Nichols to the Avon Walk in Chicago. Allovus is a proud sponsor of Hula for Hooters.

“This is our fifth year raising money for breast cancer research,” Jon Morvant said, “but we’ve always raised money for some cause—we’ve been doing that for 15 years.”

The total amount of money the group has raised for breast cancer research over the last 5 years is over $100,000. Way to go, team!
